Rural Safe House is a mobile application designed for rural home owners and managers, but it is also accessible to the general public. The app helps to easily assess the fire risk in your home and provides preventative measures to reduce that risk. The goal is to promote a preventive culture and empower the population to protect their homes and communities.
Main features:
1.-Risk assessment: Complete a questionnaire with questions and graphic material about the surroundings and constructive features of your home. As you respond, you will see the increasing risk on a color scale (green, yellow, and red).
2.- Preventive measures: After completing the questionnaire, obtain a personalized list of preventive measures that you can apply to reduce the fire risk in your home. These include cleaning shrubs, tree maintenance, and precautions in storing flammable objects.
3.- Data recording: Contribute to a real-time risk map for public administration, highlighting homes based on risk and owner interaction level.
4.- Results communication: Share your results and additional data, such as photos and contact, with the Insular Operational Coordination Center. This will allow firefighters to know and prepare for the fire risk in your home.
